By combining two ancient methods, Mikael Takacs creates unique contemporary art that leaves no one untouched. This modern artist has in a completely own way combined portrait painting with marbling. With fantastic precision and incredible feeling for the material, he manages to create harmony in his complex images. When Mikael Takacs works he is always balancing on a knife's edge, his technique allows no correction, every movement and action stays in the painting.

Gallery owner Mikael Eskilsson about Mikael Takacs:
"The first thing that struck me when I saw Mikael Takacs' art up close was how fantastically beautiful all the detailed patterns are. Each painting is a hundred works of art. Every square centimeter deserves to be enlarged into a painting in itself. And when you step back with those patterns still in clear sight, a portrait crystallizes that is both completely harmonious and totally distorted at the same time. I perceive it as if the artist has taken human beings and turned them inside out in a most ingenious way. Most of us show a calm exterior while carrying a hurricane of thoughts and feelings on the inside. On the contrary, these portraits display their thoughts and feelings for everyone to see. When I stand in front of their beautiful chaotic surface, I am struck by a sense of sincerity and courage."
